I compiled this list of light fixtures today and was reminded of our own exploration in hand-made lighting :) In 2007, my fiance and I were fortunate enough to take part in designing light fixtures for reDiscover to auction at neocon xpress in Los Angeles. reDiscover is a great organization that encourages children to think about concepts of preservation and reuse through repurposing discarded items as learning and craft materials. I love cooking and think I am well on my way to becoming an amateur chef. Today we made mushroom lasagne from scratch and I was enjoying my new salt an pepper shaker... if I am not careful, I'll turn into one of those old ladies with dozens of sets of shakers! I love when summertime rolls in. Wardrobes change from muted to bright sunny colors and everyone is outside with more of a bounce to their step. Here are a few bright interiors inspired by this new sunshiny feeling.

Summer has arrived in full force here in Seattle and we are in the midst of a little heat wave. Jeff and I had to open all the windows and doors and now it is starting to feel pleasant and breazy. Looking around our place, my craft and art hobbies are getting somewhat out of hand as I accumulate more supplies. I find myself utilizing the window sills, the kitchen counters, the coffee table, as well as my desk to sprawl out all of my current projects. I spent the afternoon daydreaming about a day when I will have an actual designated work room. These are a few inspirational images for a neat and cheerful space.
