I love cooking and think I am well on my way to becoming an amateur chef. Today we made mushroom lasagne from scratch and I was enjoying my new salt an pepper shaker... if I am not careful, I'll turn into one of those old ladies with dozens of sets of shakers! I love when summertime rolls in. Wardrobes change from muted to bright sunny colors and everyone is outside with more of a bounce to their step. Here are a few bright interiors inspired by this new sunshiny feeling.

Summer has arrived in full force here in Seattle and we are in the midst of a little heat wave. Jeff and I had to open all the windows and doors and now it is starting to feel pleasant and breazy. Looking around our place, my craft and art hobbies are getting somewhat out of hand as I accumulate more supplies. I find myself utilizing the window sills, the kitchen counters, the coffee table, as well as my desk to sprawl out all of my current projects. I spent the afternoon daydreaming about a day when I will have an actual designated work room. These are a few inspirational images for a neat and cheerful space.

introducing 'lovey dovey'

I finished sanding and painting my new wedding cake toppers today. I was aiming for a very simple and modern bird form that can accompany any style of cake beautifully. They turned out even cuter than expected and will most likely be appearing atop my own wedding cake (if I ever get around to planning my wedding)!
